ABSTRACT: Groundwater regime evaluation of Quaternary sediments of the High Tatra Mts, foreland is presented in the contribution, Data from 21 wells and 3 springs located in the area were taken into consideration. Evaluation comprised of basic statistics of groundwater levels and spring yields and time series decomposition. Analyses of altitude data, climatic, hydrological and hydrogeological settings in places of monitoring objects location enabled to asses differences in temporal and casual factors of groundwater regime formation in the area. Based on results of correlation matrix, factor and cluster analyses, four characteristic groups of groundwater level regime were created. Groups were characterized from the point of view of temporal element and casual factors of the regime, where precipitation, air temperature and surface stream discharges were identified as main factors affecting groundwater regime.
