ABSTRACT: Influence of fault tectonics on both spring distribution and yield was investigated within the Veporicum unit and vicinity of the Čierna hora Mts. The zones were located up to distance 50, 100 and 150 m from tectonic lines. Number of springs, springs yield and other characteristics in these zones was ca1culated by software Mapinfo and MS Excel. Obtained results showed that majority springs and total springs yield closely associated with tectonics lines. Well, we can say that influence of tectonics on spring distribution and their yield really exist, but their amount and character are different aro und various tectonic lines and they are also significantly influenced by other factors, namely by litostratigraphy.
