ABSTRACT: The Dionýz Štúr State Geological Institute (during the period of 1996 - 1999 the Geological Survey of Slovak Republic) in the 1994 - 1999 period produced hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical maps in 1:50000 scale for the seven regions of Slovakia: Čierna Hora Mts., Pezinské Karpaty Mts., north-eastern part of the Podunajská nížina Lowland, eastern part of the Velká Fatra Mts., southern part of the Záhorská Nížina Lowland, Lubovnianska vrchovina Mts., and the northern part of the Spišsko-gemerské Rudohorie Mts. The total of the area covered by these maps in 1:50000 scale is 4078 km2, e.i. 8,31% of the area of the Slovak Republic.
