ABSTRACT: Evaluation of oil-pipeline influence as potential source of pollution on the groundwater quality between Košice and Rožňava There are characteristic important groundwater sources in the territory of Slovac Carst and neighbouring Košice basin. The big deal of them is utilised for the collective drinking water supply for population. The biggest potentional source of pollution seems to be oiI-pipeline, leading along the whole area. There were registered direct threat to the groundwater quality in important water supplying areas at Čaňa and Gýňov and especially in the surrounding of oil - pipeline pumping station near Moldava nad Bodvou. Vulnerabilty of the rock environment regarding groundwater quality was divided by the author into 4 groups , the 1-st group being most important and most threatened area and the 4-th group being area without groundwater sources and lovest threatened.
